Recently I’ve been listening to the first season of an old friend’s podcast. I went to school with and later worked with Rob Garratt, who along with his older brother Dave, have been diving into albums that they feel their brother should know. It’s a simple but really clever way to explore and think about older albums.
The episode I was listening to today is The 59 Sound by The Gaslight Anthem, in which Rob mentions seeing the band at Latitude Festival in 2009, so I thought that feels like a good reason to dip into my photo archive and grab a few of them.
The album is one I listened to a bunch and still do since seeing the band at the Festival, as Dave mentions it’s a great album to spend some time with.
