Sophie Allison the Swiss born and Nashville raised artist better known as Soccer Mommy, brought her beautiful 90s indie infused songs to The Junction’s intimate J2 room on Friday night.
With support from Manchester’s TTSSFU who warmed the crowd up with a solid dose of shoe gaze, including the gorgeous Studio 54, with it’s break up letter to Andy Warhol lyrics.
Allison took to the stage with her band and opened up with Bones the opening track from 2022’s “Sometimes, Forever” followed by the hit “Circle The Drain” which I always think the opening bars are similar to Feeder’s High.
They would work through songs from her four albums and even brand new single Lost, played without her bassist and drummer, followed by Still Clean played solo. Before finishing the night with an encore of Your Dog from 2018’s Clean.
