The Last Dinner Party, Cambridge Corn Exchange 2024

I first saw The Last Dinner Party at Latitude Festival 2023 in the Friday lunchtime slot on the In The Woods stage, which they packed the tent for and had the whole crowd singing the chorus to Nothing Matters to close their set.

Since then they have skyrocketed into the public conscious after releasing their chart topping debut album Prelude to Ecstasy. Seemingly being on the road constantly with one Cambridge visit to the Portland Arms last year and this year coming to the Corn Exchange. Both gigs were sell outs of differing scales of course.

They did not disappoint with their return to Cambridge, bringing a grand stage design which they filled with there fantastic baroque pop tunes. Treating the crowd to a few unreleased songs and a cover of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game. My favourite track, Sinner, was nestled in the middle of the set and sounded excellent.
