The Bluetones are the perfect band to Cut Some Rug to at the Junction on a Friday Night. That’s the pun out of the way without using the cliché about Slight Returns.
Riding a wave of 90s nostalgia that has several bands back on the road (some never left of course), it’s great to get to see bands I grew up to hearing their songs on the radio and soundtracks of TV and film.
The ‘Tones, opened with Bluetonic followed by Cut Some Rug to set out that they were going to be more than happy to play the tunes that got them slots on Top of The Pops (which Mark was keen to remind the crowd about), as well as newer songs, including all three from the recent Drive Thru EP.
